Outlook: Very cold on Friday. Relatively warmer this weekend with highs near 30 degrees. Another winter storm is headed toward the region, with several inches of snow possible on Sunday; look for updates.
Early next week, it will turn drastically colder. The coldest weather in two decades is likely. Sub-zero temperatures combined with brisk winds will drop wind chills between -30 and -40 at times.
